\nILO\u00a0 (ITC-ILO)\u00a0 in\u00a0 close\u00a0 collaboration\u00a0 with\u00a0 the\u00a0 ILO\u2019s\u00a0 Social Security
\nDepartment\u00a0 is\u00a0 organizing\u00a0 the thirteenth edition of its training activity
\n“Social\u00a0 Health Protection: addressing inequities in access to health care”
\nin\u00a0 Turin,\u00a0 Italy,\u00a0 from 3 to 14 March 2014. During the residential phase a
\nstudy visit to a health insurance scheme in Chamb\u00e9ry, France is envisaged.
\nThe\u00a0 course will identify inequities in effective access to health care and
\nmain\u00a0 causes,\u00a0 review\u00a0 the importance of universal access to health care in
\ncrisis\u00a0 and\u00a0 post\u00a0 crisis\u00a0 situations, issues related to the feasibility of
\nintroducing\u00a0 a\u00a0 social\u00a0 health\u00a0 protection\u00a0 scheme\u00a0 and\u00a0 planning\u00a0 for
\nimplementation; designing the appropriate contribution levels and benefits,
\nmonitoring\u00a0 the provision of services and ensuring the sound governance and
\nfinancing\u00a0 of\u00a0 the scheme. For more information, please see the full course

\nBased\u00a0 on\u00a0 last year’s successful experience, we will again hold the course
\nin\u00a0 English and in French (with simultaneous interpretation and translation
\nof\u00a0 presentations),\u00a0 thus broadening the scope of the learning activity, as
\nwell as the knowledge sharing experience.
\nThe\u00a0 course\u00a0 is\u00a0 designed\u00a0 for\u00a0 executives,\u00a0 managers,\u00a0 planners, financial
\nofficers\u00a0 and\u00a0 other\u00a0 responsible\u00a0 professionals\u00a0 of health care and health
\ninsurance schemes, both in government and non-governmental sectors.
